Le Comptoir de Mathilde is a delicatessen and chocolate brand created in 2007 by Richard Fournier. For over 15 years, we have been committed to making most of our recipes in our ateliers in France. We offer a wide range of sweet and savoury products to suit all palates.
A taste for the good things in life, nostalgia for childhood, the emotion of taste and sight, French tradition... This is what drives our founder, Richard Fournier, son and grandson of a chocolatier, who fell into the chocolate pot as a child. In fact, he chose the name "Le Comptoir de Mathilde" as a tribute to his grandmother, who bore that name and passed on to him a taste for generous, gourmet cuisine.
Every year, we continue to develop our concept, opening an average of twenty new outlets.

A unique boutique concept
At Comptoir de Mathilde, when a customer pushes open the doors, it's first and foremost a visual story that's told, thanks in particular to our old-fashioned atmosphere.
Our furniture is crafted from recycled wood, providing low areas for theatrical display as well as product promotion. Most of the stock is stored under paloxes. The boutiques are decorated with vintage objects and the merchandising organized by range.
Hand-painted decorations, painted lettering and trompe-l'œil paintwork, each with its own distinctive feature, all of these elements contribute to the warm, reassuring setting, ideal for indulging in nostalgic flavors.
At Comptoir de Mathilde, all 5 senses are stimulated for a unique experience : the sense of smell is stimulated from the moment you enter, music awakens the sense of hearing, the setting showcases our products to delight the eye, tasting is emphasized to discover new flavors, and the products on offer can be touched to form a box ready to offer.
