Did you know? The black pepper from Kampot dates back to the Kingdom of Angkor and written traces of this pepper are found in the accounts of a Chinese explorer from the 13th century.

Pepper was introduced to Kampot during the immigration of Chinese people from the Hainan region. Cultivated in China at that time, Kampot pepper enjoyed great success. In 1975, the Khmer Rouge destroyed all the production fields to replace them with rice cultivation. 30 years later, families of growers decided to revive this pepper, which you can use in all your culinary creations!
